Welcome to the lovely and mythical Almost, Maine. Set in the quaint, fictional Northern Maine town of Almost, we welcome you on a journey through a series of amiably absurdist vignettes about love and loss, with a touch of good-natured magical realism.

    Tom Kochan (Composer) Emmy Award winning composer Tom Kochan is thrilled to be making his debut at the Barn Playhouse with his Drama Desk nominated score to Almost, Maine. Career highlights include: The Elephant Man starring Bradley Cooper at Williamstown Theatre Festival, two plays with Arthur Miller (at Roundabout and Williamstown), Give CD’s with Glutist James Galway (on RCA Records), three NYC productions with British Filmmaker Mike Leigh (including the Obie Award winning Ecstasy), and the Jonathan Larson award winning musical Pretty to the Bone. Tom is the series composer for “Playing On Air”, a radio/podcast show of short plays. His songs are currently featured on The Young and the Restless on CBS.

    Peiyi Wong (Scenic & Costume Designer) is a Bessie Award-winning scenographer and interdisciplinary artist based in Brooklyn, NY. She designs sets, installations, and costumes for live performance and film.     Kyra Kennedy (Glory/Waitress/Marvalyn/Shelly/Marci/Rhonda) - Kyra most recently originated the role of Monica Lewinsky in the world premiere play When Monica Met Hillary. Before that she originated the role of Kat Arujo in the World Premiere of Mystic Pizza the Musical. First National Tour: Waitress (Francine/Jenna + Dawn u/s), Regional: Gypsy (Louise, Sharon Playhouse), Murder Ballad (Sara, Playhouse Square), Spring Awakening (Wendla, Beck Center for the Arts). Kyra was last at the Barn Playhouse as a 2012 Intern (Sheila in Hair, Gertie in Oklahoma, Serena in Legally Blonde!) returned to do Godspell (2017) and is so glad to be back at her happy place. He is a 2017 Acting Intern alumnus (Godspell, The Secret Garden, West Side Story, All Shook Up) and 2019 Penn State BFA Musical Theatre graduate.     Jordan Hurley (U/S; Glory/Waitress/Marvalyn/Shelly/Marci/Rhonda/Ginette/Sandrine/Gayle/Deena/Hope) is thrilled to be back at the Barn Playhouse - previous Barn Playhouse Credits: kitchen staff! A recent graduate of NYU Tisch Drama, Jordan spent much of her college career at Playwrights Horizons collaborating on new works as an actor, singer, writer, director, and choreographer. Highlights include sharing the stage with a hermit crab and playing a character named after a Spice Girl. Jordan played Little Becky Two Shoes in the Tisch Drama Stage live stream production of Urinetown the Musical and spent her final year at The Classical Studio focusing on Shakespeare, trading off between playing Brutus and Portia in their 24-performance run of Julius Caesar. Jordan comes to the Barn Playhouse after a 6-week run hiking with middle-schoolers in Yellowstone National Park. Thank you to my family - especially Bubbe and Saba and Noah.
