Amy E. Hubbard
Development Associate
Amy E. Hubbard joins the New London Barn Playhouse this summer as Development Associate. She teaches English and Theatre at Proctor Academy, where she directs productions and works with students on writing, public speaking, and performance.
Her work is grounded in collaboration and storytelling. At Proctor, she leads projects that encourage creative risk-taking while helping students build confidence in how they communicate. Her recent production of Alice in Wonderland reimagined the story through a 1960s lens, with a focus on music, movement, and strong ensemble work.
Outside the classroom, Amy performs regularly throughout New England with her acoustic duo, 93 North, and her full country band, Mutha Hubbard. Her sets draw from country, Americana, and classic rock, with an emphasis on creating engaging live experiences in small venues and community settings.
At the Barn, she will support donor engagement, events, and day-to-day development work. She is especially interested in the relational side of the role, building connections, creating a welcoming experience for patrons, and helping sustain a place where live theatre can thrive.
Amy is glad to be part of the Barn Playhouse community this summer and looks forward to a full season.
