On the Road Again…

Barnies on Tour!

The Sound of Music
The hills are alive with Mackenzie Dade (Acting Intern, 2015; Anybodys in West Side Story, 2017) and Danny Marquez (Violinist, 2017) as they tour the country in this gorgeous new production! Mackenzie starred in the Barn’s 2015 production of The Sound of Music as Liesl, and now she gets to understudy it on her first national tour! Danny spent his first summer at the Barn this year year, but audiences will remember his gorgeous playing during West Side Story and The Secret Garden.

Waitress
Back in November we caught up with Kyra Kennedy (Acting Intern, 2012) on the first national tour of Waitress the Musical, performing nightly in the ensemble and understudying both Jenna and Dawn. At the Barn, Kyra was featured in Hair in 2012, and in 2017 she came back to star in GODSPELL.

In November, Kyra shared this piece of advice for the 2018 Acting Interns: “Take care of yourself (i.e. get sleep when you need it) but also make memories and have fun (i.e. stay up late when you need it) <3”

A Chorus Line
Also from our 2017 production of GODSPELL, 2014 Acting Intern Taylor Wright is also hitting the road! Fresh from his run in the critically-acclaimed Off-Broadway play Afterglow, Taylor is now touring with A Chorus Line, performing the role of Don nightly and understudying Zach.
A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder
Another chance for you to support not one but TWO stellar Barnies! Briana Gantsweg wowed audiences this past summer as the saucy Miss Sandra in All Shook Up and is playing Miss Barley in this hilarious musical. She’s joined by musician Jordan Standlee, who has spent five seasons playing reeds in the pit at the Barn.
