Education at the Barn
The Barn’s mission to create vibrant theater with young artists in collaboration with professionals also extends to the young people in our community. We firmly believe that an education in the performing arts is incredibly important to young people’s creative and social development. To that end, the Barn is thrilled to offer the following programs for the young artists, both on stage and behind-the-scenes, in your home:
Junior Intern Program
The Junior Intern Company is comprised of 30 young performers aged 12-18 who, over the course of nine weeks, rehearse, build and perform in the Children’s Theatre Series.
Check out our Junior Intern Program page for more information.
Each summer, we offer five weeks of camps, Monday-Friday from 9:00 AM-12:00 PM or 1:00 PM-4:00 PM. Each week will have opportunities for children ranging from age 6 to 11, and will culminate in a performance for family and friends. Camps are taught by a combination of Barn staff, members of the Acting Company, and professional guest artists! Our summer 2019 lineup has been announced, and registration is now open!
Spring Musical Theater Intensive
Join us for a weekend of singing, acting, and dancing, all focused on our stellar 2019 Summer Season! You’re the One that We Want! to come learn material from Grease, Peter and the Starcatcher, The Pajama Game, and Catch Me If You Can! Register now!
Note: All of our programs are day-camps; these are for students with local housing, as no on-site housing is available
